Located southeast of downtown near the soon-to-open Houston Botanic Garden, the 1,850-square-foot home has been renovated with authenticity in mind. The facade features a custom modernist-style door and large picture window with ribbed glass for privacy. The front dining area boasts terrazzo tile flooring and built-ins across one wall and a doorway that leads to the kitchen and den area.

The kitchen blends updates with midcentury flair—the terrazzo tile compliments the retro laminate counters, turquoise sink, and vintage hardware. But our favorite room is the open-concept den, where exposed beams mix with cove lighting for a dramatic effect. Other perks include hardwood floors in the bedroom, original vintage tile in the bathrooms, and a master that features a sliding glass door with access to the backyard.
