Panaji: Namrata Menon is Goa’s Yoga Ambassador

Panaji, May 30: State Health department on Thursday announced yoga expert and fitness expert Namrata Menon as Goa’s Ambassador for promoting yoga.

In a statement released here, State Health Minister Vishwajit Rane has said that Menon, who has been doing extra ordinary work in the field of Yoga, has been selected to promote it across the State.

“I am happy to announce that we have appointed Namrata Menon as Goa’s Ambassador for promoting yoga across the state,” he said.

The minister said that the objective of this initiative is to increase awareness about the benefits of yoga and encourage people towards the inculcation of a healthy lifestyle.

Rane said that the State government wants to promote yoga amongst the citizens of the State which is an important step towards promoting healthy lifestyle.

Menon has been practicing yoga at Dona Paula near Panaji and has been instrumental in inspiring many people to take it up in their day to day life since last 17 years.
