Augusta Communities, an Upland-based nonprofit supporting manufactured housing for low-income families, is providing summer activity packets to the children of its communities.

For the past 10 years, Augusta Communities has hosted a summer day camp called Camp Blue Sky. Like other summer program hosts, Augusta Communities had to cancel its in-person summer camp due to COVID-19 restrictions.

As a way to create summer fun, the nonprofit gave resident families activity packets. The packets included: supplies for growing a plant, performing jump rope tricks, water coloring, creating a time capsule, origami, painting a birdhouse and creating a scavenger hunt.

Augusta Communities was founded in 1998 to provide affordable housing opportunities for households of modest means, according to the organization’s website.
