I AM agreeing with letter from Gerald Barnes about traffic lights in the town.
We are well known as the traffic light centre of UK!
The worst of these is the traffic lights now set up town side of the new bridge.
Since the removal of the roundabout which ran very smoothly for many years the congestion caused by these new traffic lights from town, Ocean Village and from St Mary's is outrageous.
The surrounding lights do not co-ordinate and therefore, particularly Monday night, a 20 minute journey took an hour plus.
Cars also overtake on the wrong lane from town so they can 'nip' in front of cars that have been queuing.
Traffic going in opposing directions at the lights cannot move as the oncoming traffic does not enable a smooth turn thus causing congestion.
The amount of traffic was obviously causing so much pollution in a town that is boasting wanting to reduce pollution.
