A MAN has been stabbed at a Southampton tower block.
Police were called to Redbridge Towers at 11.23am following reports that a man in his 30s had been stabbed.
The man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Police have launched an investigation and officers remain at the scene.
A resident who lives on the 16th floor told the Daily Echo that they had heard screaming, but thought it was just children playing.
She said: “It was on the floor above us which is the 17th floor."
Another resident said: “I’ve only just moved here so it’s scary that it’s happening right on the doorstep."
"My mum told me after she saw a status on Facebook.”
The Daily Echo has contacted Hampshire Constabulary for more information.
