Joshua confirmed on Wednesday his debut US fight for June 1, when he will take on Jarrell 'Big Baby' Miller at Madison Square Garden.

The arena has previously been graced by some of the biggest names in boxing, including Muhammad Ali, Joe Frazier and Loe Louis.

Joshua will defend his WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO world heavyweight titles against Brooklyn native Miller.

The fight is to take place on the same night as the Champions League final, which will be hosted at Atletico Madrid's Wanda Metropolitano stadium in Spain.

This bout comes after the failure to secure a Wembley contest in April against Deontay Wilder to unify the heavyweight division.

Further attempts to arrange a rematch against Tyson Fury or Dillian Whyte also fell through.

Speaking about the fight in a video on his YouTube channel, Joshua said: 'June 1 I'll be travelling to MSG. New York City, the Big Apple,' Joshua said in a video posted to social media.

'I'm there to take a bite out of that and I'll be competing against Jarrell Miller.

'Wembley is so close to my heart, it's a great spot, a great location. I've fought in small halls, I've fought in arenas. And it's been a humbling and a blessing to fight in those stadiums.
