Hairy Bikers play down incredible weight loss and joke 'we're more middle aged survivors than gurus' after shedding a huge 7 STONE
They've recently overhauled their look, losing a whopping seven stone between them.
But the Hairy Bikers, aka Dave Myers, 61, and Si King, 52, remained coy as they discussed their ongoing weight loss during Friday morning's episode of Lorraine.
As the TV host, 59, applauded them on being an inspiration to dieters, Dave gave a humble response, telling her: 'I think we're more middle aged survivors than gurus really.'
Humble: The Hairy Bikers, aka Dave Myers, 61, and Si King, 52, remained coy as they discussed their ongoing weight loss during Friday's episode of Lorraine (left, and right in 2010)
Si then explained how weight loss is a personal journey for each person, adding: 'It’s about your own self esteem as well it’s about how you feel about yourself that’s important. Every weight loss journey is incredibly individual.'
The duo, who have penned several diet cookbooks between them, told Lorraine that they do help each other out.
Dave then explained the secret behind their thinner frames, saying: 'We change the way we cook, the big knobs of butter and cream we use that sparingly, it’s a special occasion.
'Whenever we do a diet book we shoot the cover on March 1 and so our publisher sees us at Christmas and tells us that March first is coming up and that's our motivation.'
Coy: As Lorraine Kelly, 59, applauded them on being an inspiration to dieters, Dave (L) gave a humble response, telling her: 'I think we're more middle aged survivors than gurus really'

Lorraine then asked how exactly can one lose weight, to which Si simply responded: 'Eat less and do more.'
Dave, who shot to fame with Si in 2004 presenting The Hairy Bikers Cookbook, also revealed that men are more reluctant to get on a pair of scales than women.
He said: 'Buy scales, blokes especially. We were 'scaleophobics', you can't tell by your trousers.
'Ladies are much better than chaps at this because they’re so supportive, blokes are like you can go to the pub.'

Si added: 'The thing is weight loss is all about numbers, if you know where you start and where you want to get to, so if you’re not happy with scales you have to know your own story. Because if you don’t, you're never going to lose.'
He continued: 'What’s important for us, all our recipe books in the dietetics themes really hasn’t changed.
'We make great tasting food that's less calorific, it had to be great flavours which Dave and I are known for.'
Their wise words comes after Dave previously slammed the controversial Ketogenic diet, saying it wasn't a good thing.

He told Yahoo: 'Keto diet, you are putting your body into ketosis which is never a good thing.
'It’s a massive stress on your kidneys and liver which is why on that diet you have to drink a lot of water.
'It’s about being knowledgeable and making choices and changing the relationship you have with food you eat.'
Lorraine continues weekdays from 8.30am on ITV.
