Helena Bonham Carter catches the eye in a seasonal floral print dress as she fits beloved dog Pablo with a safety collar after visiting a local vet

Helena Bonham Carter took advantage of soaring temperatures on Monday afternoon as she ventured out close to her north London home.

But the day appeared to be all about her beloved pet dog Pablo, who was fitted with a troublesome safety collar after visiting a local veterinary clinic.

Sporting a seasonal floral print summer dress, Helena, 54, ensured she caught the eye while pausing with her black and white pooch outside.

The actress, famed for her eccentric sense of style, added to her look with a pair of crepe-soled sandals, while a bum-bag and quirky yellow framed sunglasses rounded things off.

Helena fussed over Pablo after fitting him with the plastic collar while apparently dropping him off for an appointment before making her way home.

Earlier that day the actress was joined by a female friend while the endearing dog ambled behind his famous owner.

Helena has delighted fans with her performance as Princess Margaret in the third series of Netflix's The Crown, taking over from actress Vanessa Kirby who held the role for the first two seasons of the hit royal drama.

As well as professional success, the star's love life is also going from strength to strength courtesy of her relationship with the notably younger Rye Dag Holmboe, 32.

Helena and Rye have been dating for more than a year now and in the December issue of Harper's Bazaar UK, the actress discussed her new man.

She said the romance has been 'a bit of unexpected magic in my life' following her split from ex Tim Burton in 2014.

The Cinderella star had a famously unconventional 13-year relationship with director Tim, 61.

Helena and Tim lived in two adjourning houses in London during their romance, and are parents to children Billy, 16, and Nell, 12.

On moving on from the American animator, the Enid star - who previously dated Irish actor Kenneth Branagh between 1994 and 1999 - admitted she grew tired of 'grieving' their relationship, and now leads a 'happy' life with her new boyfriend.

'You break up, you grieve, you get bored of grieving', she told Harper's Bazaar.

'And then you finally move on'. I’m very happy with someone else. It’s been a bit of unexpected magic in my life.'

Helena recently told Louis Theroux on his Grounded podcast that shamed Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein one made a pass at her.

Helena said he tried to give her a neck massage and she escaped by running away.

'I wasn't aware of him pursuing people against their will, I wasn't aware certainly of rape,' she said of the movie mogul, who is serving a 23-year sentence for rape and sexual assault in his landmark #MeToo case.

'I was aware that he would make passes at people and he did make a pass at me and I just said no and that was the end of it.

'He was also a bully and he obviously molested people - it was partly I think sociopathic.'
