Janata Congress Chhattisgarh (Jogi) candidate from Raipur (Rural) Assembly constituency Dr Om Prakash Dewangan has been issued notice for violation of poll model code of conduct.
A FIR has also been registered against him, officials informed.
The notice has been served after Dewangan took the photograph in the mobile phone of casting his vote and then posting it in the social media site Facebook; thus violating the confidentiality of the voting and election model code of conduct.
He had uploaded the photograph after casting his vote on November 20 during second phase of polling.
The complaint was lodged by Assistant Returning Officer, Raipur Rural Assembly constituency.
A FIR has been registered against Dewangan with Khamtarai police station. Further investigations are underway.
