National Handloom Expo18 starts at Bhopal Haat

From Pashmina of Jammu and Kashmir to the fizzy shades of Pondicherry, more than 100 stalls of handloom and handicraft materials is vying the shopaholics of the city. Notably, the National Handloom Expo 2018 had a fantastic start at Bhopal Haat here from Thursday.

As many as 110 stalls from 16 states including Uttar Pradesh, followed by Jammu and Kashmir, West Bengal, Rajasthan and Haryana, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Pondicherry, Assam, Delhi and Chhattisgarh have displayed the stuff in the national exhibition.

From Jammu and Kashmir, Assam, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar and some stalls from Uttar Pradesh would also display the specialty of their region.

Pure Silk and cotton apparel from Assam and West Bengal would captivate the attention of the visitors. Besides, to enhance the taste buds of the Bhopalites, vendors would also bring the different eatables as well.

Moreover, around 90 societies from across the nation would participate in the national expo putting up their stuff.

Notably, the vendors have showcased their stuff at 110 stalls in which 40 stalls are already available at the haat and 70 stalls will be established at the premises.

On the opening day of the fair, a huge crowd was noticed in the evening especially at the stall of Jammu and Kashmir selling the pure woolens. Moreover, the shopaholics were also seen captivated towards the stalls of imitation jewellery.

Talking about the handloom fair how one can forget to mention about Chanderi and Maheshwari and Kosa Silk dress materials.

Sarees and suit materials in cotton, chanderi, kanchivaram and other materials also remained the centre of attraction on the first day of the National Handloom Expo 2018.

 Moreover, to make the fair even more enjoyable, cultural programmes will also be organised including various competitions and performances. The fair will be on view till December 13.
