Ranchi has achieved the best disposal rate of complaints coming to the CM Jan Samvad. Official figures have stated that the district has taken up 14,633 out of the 15,670 complaints registered under the programme adding that 11,269 were disposed of.
The district administration officials stated that maximum complaints were related to revenue and land revenue department (3,101) followed by town development and housing (2,323), home and prison (2,016), rural development department (1,565), water and sanitation (1,320), public development system (1,209) energy (829), welfare department (586), women and child development (568), school education and literacy (554), health and family welfare (348), planning and finance (213), agriculture, animal husbandry and cooperative (191), excise (116), labour (115) and transportation (135).
“This could be achieved because of serious efforts by senior officials of the district. There is also coordination between the civil and police officials in this regard,” said the Ranchi deputy commissioner Rai Mahimapat Ray.
According to information on average 100 complaints cases are registered in Ranchi district on each working day over telephone number 181 and other modes of filing complaints including online, e-mail, whattsapp, post, social media and janta durbar.
