In the tenth edition of Brave Kids programme held in Poland in which representatives from 16 countries participated, nine people including six children, one artistic instructor, group leader and a volunteer from Nanhi Dunya represented India.
The group was congratulated by Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, Union minister of State for Home Affairs Gangapuram Kishan Reddy, Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, Anil Baijal and Culture minister Prahlad Singh. The group has six children Khushi (14), Anchal (13), Saniya (13), Manish (13), Rahul (10) and Saksham (10), their artistic instructor Ashu Satvika Goyal, group leader Harshit Gupta and volunteer Nitin from Nanhi Dunya who went Poland to represent Indian culture.
Goyal said, “The performance ‘Tarang’ presented at Brave Kids festival 2019 consisted of classical dance Kathak with Indian drums, original Sanskrit Mantras, west Indian folk dances and music, Bhangra from the State of Punjab, Garba from State of Gujrat, Lavani folk dance from Maharashtra and Garhwali pastoral mountain folk dance from Uttarakhand.”
About festival she informed, “Brave Kids festival is cultural educational programme organised under patronage of UNESCO and Polish Ministry of Culture and Heritage.
Their main aim is to unite children from all over the world in an atmosphere of respect for each other’s culture.” She added, “On the way back home we also presented a handmade book which consisted of 72 years of history in Nanhi Dunya and Brave Kids to Vice President of India.
While praising children for their efforts he said that they are indeed cultural ambassadors of India.”
