Chinmaya Seva Trust organizes a Summer Camp for children

The Chinmaya Mission Ashram in the city conducted a summer camp for the urban poor children on Saturday. The summer camp was sponsored by the Ranchi branch of the All India Marwari Mahila Sangh.

The summer camp was inaugurated by Swami Madhvandan of Chinmaya Mission Ashram.The camp started from 9 am and went on till 5 pm. A total of 100 children studying from class three to class six were made a part of this summer camp.

Chinmaya Seva Trust runs 84 Baal Sanskar Kendra centres in the city. They aim at uplifting the urban poor children and to bring them at par with the present urban population.While the Marwadi Mahila Sang took care of the expenses of the entire program, Chinmaya Seva Trust looked after bringing the children from the respective Baal Sanskar Kendra centres via buses.

Several child centric programmes were made a part of this summer camp. The members of the Marwari Mahila Sanginteracted with the kids. They made them feel at ease and also enjoy the various activities that were a part of this summer camp.

In the due course of the camp children were taught moral values, bhajan, poem recitation, yoga, painting and dancing. In addition to this children were also trained to develop their physical, mental and intellectual skills. The Chinmaya Mission Ashram in the city also houses a book store where children can sit and read and thus imbibe the teachings of the several learned saints associated with the Chinmaya mission
