Under the regional air connectivity scheme christened as Ude Desh Ka Aam Nagarik (UDAN), the Air India will commence Raipur-Jharsuguda-Raipur flight service from June 1.
According to information received from the Air India sources, online ticket booking has begun.
As per the scheme, the Alliance Air will commence flights to/from Jharsuguda to Raipur. Earlier, the flight services to Kolkata, Ranchi and Bhubaneswar were started. Now, it will begin from Raipur.
As per the flight schedule announced, the flight 91 720 will fly from Ranchi to Raipur on daily basis at 1.50 PM/3.15 PM and from Raipur to Jharsuguda at 3.45 PM/4.50 PM daily (New flight). The timing of the 91 728 Jharsuguda/Raipur new flight will be 5.15PM/7.55PM. Similarly, flight 91728 Raipur/Ranchi new flight timing on daily basis will be 6.30 PM/7.55 PM.
The UDAN scheme was launched to provide connectivity to un-served and under-served airports of the country through revival of existing air-strips and airports under the new Civil Aviation Policy. The passenger fares for flight have been capped at Rs 2500 per hour of flying for around 500 kilometres. It has been rolled out on January 2017 for a period of 10 years.
