nChhattisgarh Rajya Sabha member and BJP national secretary Saroj Pandey has appealed to the state government to transfer the land allocated to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Raipur for construction of outreach block of the institute at Naya Raipur.
In a letter to Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, Pandey stated that she had been appointed as representative for the AIIMS, Raipur by the Government of India.
After he appointment she had also visited the AIIMS, Raipur and discussed issues pertaining to the institutes pending with the Centre and the state government.
As per details, for outreach block, research centre and centre of cxcellence of the AIIMS School of Public Health, earlier state government had allocated 204771.12 square metres of land at Uparwara, Sector 36, Naya Raipur, without any premium amount. The order was issued on January 22, 2015.
The then Naya Raipur Development Authority had handed over the land holding certificate to the institute.
Pandey in her letter further stated that on March 14, 2019, the AIIMS had written a letter to Chhattisgarh government with attached documents for transfer of land to the institute. Till date no action has been taken on the letter.
Pandey said that as the AIIMS is a national level health service provider, opening of its outreach block will further extend service to people of the state. So, a quick decision should be taken to hand over the allocated land to the institute, she urged.
