Biker taken to hospital in air ambulance after Bangor crash
A biker has been airlifted to hospital following a serious crash in Gwynedd. Police, paramedics and the Wales Air Ambulance were called to the collision on Caernarfon Road in Bangor at around 4pm today. The incident involved an orange and black motorbike and a yellow Suzuki car.
What we know so far
Here’s what we know about the crash so far:
- A biker riding an orange and black motorcycle was involved in a collision with a yellow Suzuki car on the A4087 in Bangor at around 4pm.
- Police shut the road and it remains closed nearly four hours later.
- Police and paramedics attended including the air ambulance.
- A man, believed to be the biker, has been flown to hospital in Stoke.
Biker hurt in crash
A biker has been taken to hospital by air ambulance. He was flown to Stoke. The ambulance service tell me they sent one road ambulance, a rapid response vehicle and the air ambulance.
Road remains closed
The road is still closed at the moment. No indication has been given for when it will re-opened.

Several police vehicles, ambulances and the helicopter are at the scene at the moment. The fire service tell me that they have not been called.

Police tell me that they were called to the scene at 4.14pm today. Officers have said the road will be closed for a “considerable time”.

The Wales Air Ambulance has been called. I’m told it has landed on the roundabout near Matalan.

We are told that an orange and black motorbike and a yellow Suzuki have collided close to Home Bargains.
