Cause unknown
Fire crews remain at the scene at the moment. The cause of the fire is not known at this stage.
Fire believed to be in several spots
One witness says the fire appears to have taken hold in pockets. He said that fire crews appeared to extinguish the flames on one part of the mountain, only for a second pocket to flare up.
Two fire engines at the scene
I’ve just spoken to the fire service, They tell me that they were called to the scene just after 7.30pm. They have sent two fire engines to the scene.
Smoke coming from the area
Thick smoke can be seen billowing into the air at the scene, say witnesses.
