Phoenix club Bangor 1876 are preparing for their first ever home fixture.

On Saturday, July 27, they will host Holywell Town in a pre-season friendly, which will be played on the grass football pitch at Bangor University ’s Treborth facility with a 1pm kick-off.

Before that, Bangor 1876 will travel to play a Chester XI on Thursday July 25, with kick off at 7pm, in their second ever fixture.

This friendly follows Bangor 1876’s historic first game at FC United of Manchester last Saturday .

Chester are expected to name a young side for the fixture as they played on Tuesday night and have fixtures arranged for both Friday and Saturday.

The fledgling Bangor club also received the news they will host Llandudno Athletic of the Vale of Clwyd & Conwy Football League in Welsh Cup first qualifying round on the weekend of August 31/September 1.

1876 will host CPD Sychdyn of the North East Wales Football League Premier Division in the FAW Trophy round one on Saturday, August 17.
