Thousands of festival-goers are expected to descend on Rhuddlan this May bank holiday as hit indie rockers Toploader return to North Wales.

The Multi-Platinum selling group, best known for their global smash Dancing in the Moonlight, will perform a set list of their hits as they top the bill at the fifth annual Rhuddfest .

Held in the fields of Lord Langford's Estate the family friendly music festival will host two stages of live entertainment over the course of the weekend-long event .

The main stage will bring a range of acts to cater to all tastes, including Saturday's headliner Eliza and the Bear providing up-beat indie sounds alongside high energy party duo MAVMAC.

The festival is designed specifically with families in mind, and will bring two days of arts, workshops, crafts, sports alongside the live music.

Parents are encouraged to bring their children who aside from enjoying the bands, can take part in a number of organised activities including circus skills, archery, a family crafts area, and a dedicated kids play bus.

Kids - and kids at heart - can also learn how to dance alongside the festival mascots, help build a giant cardboard city or have a go at aerial arts.

Other activities include willow weaving, treasure hunts and even a selection escape rooms - all aiming to get the whole family involved.

Grown-ups can expect a selection of carefully handpicked caterers, a Gin and Cocktails bar provided by Aber Falls Distillery, Ales from Bragdy Conwy Brewery, and two bars from Wrexham Lager, showcasing the best the region has to offer.

There's also the added bonus of free parking, with three days onsite camping available. a, this is going to be a weekend not to be missed.

Toploader last came to the region last year in the form of support for the Kaiser Chiefs at Llangollen Eisteddfod's Llanfest .

Newton Faulkner headlining the 2018 Rhuddfest

For 2019 they follow in the footsteps of singer songwriter Newton Faulkner, who headlined Rhuddfest in 2018.

Rhuddfest will take place just off station road, alongside the River Clwyd in the meadows adjacent to Rhuddlan castle on May 25 and 26, 2019.
