Hollywood icon Lena Dunham has revealed she is now living in Wales.

The 33-year-old, best known for her role in the award-winning series Girls, is directing and producing a new show which is primarily set in Cardiff.

The star will be in Wales permanently during filming , which will take place over the summer months.

Financial thriller Industry, a new HBO drama, is being helmed by Dunham herself, a show which she describes as "Wolf Of Wall Street meets Melrose Place"

And the star has been very vocal about her thoughts on the country, describing Wales as a "dreamy place" with "super sweet humans" - and made sure to include the Welsh flag emoji.

Dunham announced the news on Twitter yesterday (June 14) in a post which said “I’ve moved across the pond for the summer to shoot this – specifically Wales UK – which is a dreamy place with fairytale gardens, super sweet humans, and dragon mythology.

"So taking reccs on secret spots, cuisine, you name it! Stay tuned for more.”

Her request for recommendations has been met with scores of replies from Welsh fans, keen to share their suggestions.

The eight-episode series is set at an investment bank in London, US according to network HBO, with work and personal lives becoming blurred.

There is as yet no news on who will be cast in the drama, only that there will be eight episodes and that it will follow a group of graduates battling it out for the few available positions at a top investment bank.

The show is being co-produced by Bad Wolf, a production company which has offices in Wales.  They are behind recent hit series such as Sky's Discovery of Witches and the highly anticipated His Dark Materials for BBC.

HBO have also confirmed Dunham will be teaming up with writers Konrad Kay and Mickey Down for the new project.

Industry will be Kay and Down’s personal experiences and it is unknown if she will also have an on-screen role.
