Morgan Dominski, Hannah Sturtsman, Megan Rolince, Sophie Thomas and Sophia Dobbs scored as No. 11 Tallwood shut out Indian River 5-0 Monday for head coach Theresa Platte’s 200th career victory.

“It feels like an accomplishment,” Platte said. “It felt special to them, that they were part of something that they knew was important to me.”

First Colonial 6, Western Branch 0

Bella Kane earned a hat trick as the No. 2 Patriots blanked the No. 9 Bruins in the non-district clash. Allie Burnett had a goal and three assists for First Colonial.

Poquoson 4, Jamestown 0

Samantha Johnson, Libbie Harper, Abby Barefoot and Regan Worley scored as the No. 6 Islanders denied the visiting No. 15 Eagles and remained undefeated on the year.

Warwick 3, Salem 1

Shyla Moore had a pair of goals for the Raiders as they upset the No. 13 SunDevils.

Region 4A tournament

Churchland brothers Jonathan and Matthew McEwen were 1-2 after the first round, with Jonathan firing a 4-under 68 and Matthew an even-par 72 at Williamsburg National.

Jamestown leads the team standings with a 16-over 304. The top two teams will advance to the state tournament.

Nick Alimard had seven kills and eight blocks as the No. 6 Cavaliers edged the No. 14 Chiefs 25-19, 25-17, 27-29, 25-20.

Carter Alexander, Trent Anderson and Iyanu Brown-Barnes combined for 13 kills to lead the No. 8 Commodores to a 25-13, 25-11, 25-13 sweep over the Bookers in the Eastern District matchup.

Liz Reese had a match-high 19 kills as the No. 7 Cavaliers won their 87th straight Metro Conference match with a 25-10, 25-11, 25-11 sweep of the Chargers.
