A Larkhall teenager has scooped the winning junior entry in an annual photography competition organised by South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture.

Luke Adams’ eagle eye captured his shot of Larkhall Academy – titled Secondary – under the Our School category.

It is now on show along with all of the other winning entries at Hamilton’s Chatelherault Country Park as part of the annual photography contest.

The exhibition is a popular fixture on Chatelherault’s calendar, with photographers of all ages submitting their best shots from across South Lanarkshire.

Chair of South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture Councillor, Peter Craig, said; “The annual exhibition of the entries to the photography competition is a real opportunity to see the huge diversity of people, places and events that make up our community in South Lanarkshire.

“It is also a window on the wealth of talent in the photographers young and old who focus their cameras on the natural world, built environment and individuals of South Lanarkshire.”

This year, the best adult entry was View Over New Lanark from Dallas Carter of Motherwell, while the best junior entry was from Luke Adams of Larkhall, with his picture called Secondary.
