Superheroes rubbed shoulders with witches, magicians and visitors from a galaxy far far away at West Lothian’s first Comic Con convention.

The event was held at West Lothian College on Saturday and attracted 100s of sci-fi fans of all ages.

The Big Glasgow Comic Page has been organising such events in the city and brought the phenomena to Livingston for the very first time.

There were some outstanding costumes on display as ‘cosplayers’ competed in competitions and visitors enjoyed talks from writers and artists from Marvel and DC Comics.

There was also some fantastic prop tables, NERF, live owls, balloon twisting, face painting and a Hollywood green screen.

The organisers hope to return next year and thanked everyone who had made the event a stellar success, adding: “Thank you to everyone who attended the first ever West Lothian Comic Con.

“We loved it and feel it has massive potential to grow even bigger.

“Thank you to all the traders, cosplayers, judges, Owl Magic, Mr Fibbers, Scott Gorman Photography, The Rebel Legion UK and Facepainters INC.”
