Kevin Bridges has married girlfriend Kerry Monaghan in an intimate service surrounded by friends and family.

The Scots comedian tied the knot with cafe manager Kerry at St Peter’s Catholic Church on Hyndland Street in Glasgow’s west end on Friday.

The pair said “I do” at about 1.30pm before heading off with guests to celebrate

The newlyweds were beaming as they stepped out for the first time as man and wife.

One eyewitness said: “It was about 2pm when Kevin and his new wife came out the church.

“There were lots of friends and family and two bridesmaids as well.

“Kevin was wearing a suit with a white rose and thistle corsage. Kerry’s wedding dress was white and lacy and she had a lovely veil on over her wavy blonde hair.

“They both looked so happy. They had a kiss at the top of the church stairs and everyone applauded.

“There were two old style camper vans parked outside for the bridesmaids and family, as well as a larger bus from a company in Loch Lomond which looked like it was taking guests to their reception.

“Two security guards also stood outside the church so people couldn’t get too close. Everyone seemed to be having a great day.”

Bridges, 32, from Clydebank, and Kerry got engaged in June following a three-year romance. He is understood to have met Kerry at his favourite hangout in the west end.

Coffee lover Bridges was a regular at Epicures of Hyndland, where 33-year-old Kerry is the manager.

The couple’s romance was made public when mulit-millionaire Bridges took Kerry to celebrity chef Tom Kitchin’s restaurant in Edinburgh. Kitchin later tweeted a photo of the pair.

Bridges had told his 1.2million Twitter followers, saying: “What a feed! Big Tom’s the man!”

Kitchen then posted a picture of the happy pair on social media and appeared to quote Bridges, writing: “Roses are red, violets are blue, I phoned up Tom Kitchin and got a table for two … Hilarious Kevin Bridges. What a pleasure to cook for you both.”

The comic - who did 19 nights at Glasgow’s SSE Hydro last year - saw his last tour bring in ticket sales of over £20 million and raked in £7 million personally.

The couple’s ceremony took place a short distance from Bridges’ former £1 million pad in Westbourne Gardens.

On Friday a man at St Peter’s said parish priest Canon Peter McBride was unavailable. He refused to comment on the couple’s wedding.
