Police have sealed off a busy Glasgow road after an early morning disturbance.

Cops were called to Tollcross Road in Glasgow's east end at around 2.40am today.

Emergency services attended and two men were taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where they were treated for their injuries.

Officers are reported to have locked down the street and police cordons were put in place.

Forensic officers have been seen scouring the scene for clues today.

A Police Scotland Spokesperson said: "Police were called to reports of a disturbance on Tollcross Road at around 2.40am this morning.

"Emergency services attended and two men were taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary.

"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances."
