A large pro-independence march has taken place through the street of Oban.

Organisers of the All Under One Banner (AUOB) event say around 7,000 people took part.

Marchers met at the Atlantis Leisure Car Park where a collection for the Oban food bank was held before the Yes supporters were led through the street by the Saor Alba Pipes and Drums.

The crowd then gathered at Mossfield Stadium for a rally in support of Scottish independence.

A small group of around 50 pro-British counter demonstrators also gathered in the Argyll town during the march.

It is the third march organised this year by the All Under One Banner group after events in Glasgow and Galashiels. The next AUOB march is planned for Ayr on 6th July.

The marchers snake their way through the streets from the Atlantis leisure centre towards the harbour area

Further pro-Indy events are also pencilled in for Campbeltown on July 27, Aberdeen on August 17, Perth on September 7 and Edinburgh on October 5.
