Scottish rocker KT Tunstall, Frank Turner, Ed Byrne and Craig Charles are among the headliners for Big Burns Supper 2019 in Dumfries.

Organisers are planning 111 events across 11 days of world class music, comedy, theatre and cabaret from January 24 to February 3.

KT Tunstall said: “I’m delighted to be a part of 2019’s Big Burns Supper. It’s always fun to celebrate Burns Night but it’s been a long time since I spent one in Scotland, so I’m definitely doing it right in 2019!”

Award-winning contemporary folk band, The Peatbog Faeries and psychedelic cult rockers, Colonel Mustard & the Dijon Five, Hardeep Singh Kohli, Hebrides Ensemble, Bootleg Beetles and Brainiac Live are among the programme of Scottish and international artists, comedians and celebrity hosts.

The London Gospel Community Choir, Le Haggis and Queer Haggis are also expected to draw in the crowds, along with the Big Burns Festival Fringe which will run every Friday and Saturday.

Among the family events will be the Youth Beatz Take Over on January 24 when Scotland’s biggest free youth music festival will take over the BBS Spiegeltent for a night of live music and DJs.

Executive producer, Graham Main, said: “Our 2019 Festival is packed full of surprises, featuring big names acts alongside quirky and interactive moments for everyone to enjoy.”
