Truck-Kia crash ties up Route 80 east morning commute in Roxbury
No serious injuries were reported when a tractor-trailer truck jackknifed, overturned and struck a Kia Soul on eastbound Route 80 Wednesday morning in Roxbury, the New Jersey State Police said.
The crash, called in to police at 3:56 a.m., caused heavy backups on the highway during the morning commute. The two left lanes were re-opened at 6:45 a.m., Sgt. Lawrence Peele said, but backups on the highway lingered until all lanes were open after 11 a.m.
Peele said the accident was under investigation.
