Mesquite police searching for person of interest after armed robbery

Mesquite police are looking for a person of interest after an armed robbery Monday morning.

Shortly before 9 a.m., several males approached a woman as she walked to her vehicle on the 2000 block of Walden Place, near Helen Lane, police said. One pulled out a handgun and demanded her property.

The woman brought attention to the situation by making loud noises, causing the robbers to flee, according to police.

On Tuesday, police released footage of a person they said may have information about the incident.
