Burke, Seyfried, Dance Join Fincher’s “Mank”

Acting legend Charles Dance along with Amanda Seyfried (“Mamma Mia”), Lily Collins (“Mirror Mirror”) and British actor Tom Burke (“The Souvenir”) have joined the cast of David Fincher’s next directorial effort “Mank” for Netflix.

Gary Oldman leads the black-and-white as “Citizen Kane” co-writer Herman J. Mankiewicz. The story will follow Mankiewicz’s development of the script for the cinematic classic alongside temperamental director Orson Welles (Burke).

Seyfried will play actress Marion Davies, while Collins and Tom Pelphrey will play Mank’s secretary and brother, respectively. Arliss Howard, Joseph Cross, Ferdinand Kingsley, Jamie McShane, Sam Troughton, Toby Leonard Moore and Tuppence Middleton co-star.

Jack Fincher, David Fincher’s late father, penned the script prior to his death in 2003. Fincher will produce alongside Cean Chaffin, Douglas Urbanski and Eric Roth.
