Out-on-loan defender Max Lowe played a key part in Aberdeen’s Scottish Cup victory on Sunday afternoon.


The full back played the full 90 minutes in the Dons’ 4-1 win against Queen of the South which secured their passage through to the Quarter Finals of the competition.

Elsewhere in the Scottish Cup, Kyle McAllister’s journey came to an end as his St Mirren side fell to defeat against Dundee United.

The winger played the second half but was unable to prevent his side falling to a 2-1 defeat as they exited the competition.

In Sky Bet League One, Luke Thomas played the full 90 minutes as Coventry City beat Rochdale 1-0 at Spotland. The 19-year-old made his 30th appearance in all competitions for the Sky Blues as they sit 11th in the division.

Jacob Butterfield featured for Bradford City in their 1-0 defeat at home against Fleetwood Town, whilst Jonathan Mitchell (Shrewsbury Town) and George Thorne (Luton Town) were unused substitutes for their respective loan clubs this weekend.

Into League Two, Timi Elsnik, who picked up a booking during the afternoon, came on as a 64th minute substitute as his Northampton Town side held league leaders Lincoln City to a 1-1 draw.

Goalkeeper Matt Yates played the full 90 minutes in Hereford’s 2-2 draw against Leamington FC, whilst Fuseine Rashid and Jauvan Splatt did not feature for Barwell this weekend.

Striker Chris Martin was ineligible this weekend as the Rams faced his Hull City side, whilst Alex Pearce (Milllwall) was an unused substitute for Millwall in their 1-0 defeat at Swansea City. Nick Blackman did not feature for Sporting Gijon this weekend.
