West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday dubbed BJP as a “feku party” accusing it of falsehood and misleading the people. She further alleged that the saffron party was was resorting to intimidatory tactics by threatening people with bullets.

“BJP is a feku party. They are only interested in spreading fake news and are trying to divide the country on religious lines. They are intimidating and threatning people with guns and bullets,” said Banerjee. She was speaking at a public rally at Krishnnagar in Nadia district.

The Chief Minister lashed out at Union Minister Anurag Thakur and her Uttar Pradesh counterpart Yogi Adityanath for their controversial remarks while campaigning in Delhi for the Assembly elections.

Without directly mentioning Thakur Banerjee referred to his controversial “shoot the traitors” slogan and asked how can a Union Minister remain in his post after making such a “ unconstitutional” remark.

“Some women are peacefully protesting Shaheen Bagh. But a Union Minister is saying “ shoot the traitors.” How can he remain a Union Minister after making such remark? How can he remain in a constitutional post after making such an unconstitutional remark,” said Banerjee.

Taking a swipe at Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for his remark “if someone doesn’t listen to words then they will listen to bullets.” the Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo asked do such things happen in a democratic country.

“The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi has said “ if you don’t listen to us, you will be shot’. Does this happen in a democratic country?,” said Banerjee.

Accusing BJP of always talking about Pakistan ahead of elections the Chief Minister said that she was “born in Hindustan and not a country ruled by BJP who threaten people with bullets and guns.”

The Chief Minister further alleged that some people are now praising the murderer of Mahatma Gandhi and are saying that killing Gandhi was the right thing to do.

“Who murdered Gandhiji. Now they are saying that killing Gandhiji was the right thing to do and he who killed Gandhiji is now being praised for his courage,” said Banerjee.
