Raipur gears up for new govt's oath taking ceremony

The City of Raipur is being readied for the oath-taking ceremony of the new state government.

AICC incharge of Chhattisgarh P L Punia informed that the ceremony will take place on December 17 at 4.30 pm at Science College ground, Raipur.

Governor of Chhattisgarh will administer the oath of office and secrecy to the newly elected chief minister.

At the Science College ground, the preparations are at full swing.

Raipur Mayor Pramod Dubey, Chief Secretary Ajay Singh, Raipur Collector Basavaraju S and others are regularly visiting the venue to ensure security and better seating arrangement for the dignitaries and the public.

Taking into account that key national political leaders and VIPs are expected to attend the event, a traffic management plan has already been chalked up.

According to the plan, the whole area has been divided into four sectors for the movement of VVIPs, VIPs, ministers and general public.

With the Congress returning to power after a gap of 15 years, it is likely that there will be rush of party leaders and workers from different parts of the state to the oath taking ceremony.

Additionally, the supporters these leaders will also rush to attend the event.
