As summer approaches, a few national brands are preparing to open new locations at the Christiana Mall.

North Face, Dunkin' Donuts and Casper, a national mattress seller, are all expected to open stores soon. The Children's Place opened a new location at the mall on April 1.

The North Face will open next to Oakley and across from the Apple store in the Christiana Mall on June 14.

The North Face store is scheduled to open on June 14. It will be next to Bare Minerals and Oakley in the wing of the mall anchored by Nordstrom and the Apple store.

The new shop will carry the brand's latest performance apparel, a line that includes jackets, vests, hoodies, base layers and hats. North Face also sells hiking equipment, backpacks and shoes.

The new North Face store will be the company's second in Delaware, joining its outlet in Rehoboth Beach. North Face products are also carried by many national and local stores including REI in the Christiana Fashion Center and multiple stores at the mall.

Casper plans to open 200 mattress stores in the next three years, including one at the Christiana Mall this summer.

Casper, which launched in 2014 as an internet-only mattress seller, is opening its first Delaware brick-and-mortar location next to Coach and Victoria's Secret and across from Pottery Barn in the mall. Christiana Mall General Manager Steve Chambliss expects it to open in June.

The move to Delaware comes as the company works to diversify its overall business model. Casper announced in August 2018 that it planned to open 200 stores in the next three years.

All Casper mattresses ship in boxes roughly the size of a mini refrigerator, according to the company's website. Some are all high-density foam while others are made with foam and springs. The company is one of the largest mattress sellers in the country but has faced increased competition online.

The Children's Place opened roughly a month ago near Target and next to Foot Action and Kid's Foot Locker. It's the company's second northern Delaware location. Their first is at the Concord Mall.

Dunkin' is expected to open in July, Chambliss said. It will be next to Claire's and Fast Fix, which is also near Target.
