6 shot in Wilmington: What we know and what we don't
Sunday night, six people were injured in a shooting at East 10th and North Pine streets in Wilmington.
Police have released limited information about the incident and did not immediately respond to calls Monday morning.
Here is what we know about the shooting so far:
What we know:
- Six people were shot about 7:10 p.m.
- The victims had non-life-threatening injuries and were listed in stable condition as of 9:45 p.m. Sunday.
- A witness on West 10th Street heard at least seven shots, then saw several young men running away from the scene.
- The witness also saw some of the victims go into a market at the intersection.
- The street block was closed and taped off as police investigated.
- City Councilwoman Zanthia Oliver told 6ABC that the shooting happened outside of a corner shop that has been dubbed a "nuisance store" due to neighbors' complaints.
- This marks the 21st shooting Wilmington police have responded to this year, according to The News Journal's database. Eight people have been killed in 2019.

- Was there one shooter or more?
- Was there a gunfight or were the victims bystanders?
- Were more than six people involved?

- Did the victims know the shooter(s)?

The shooting remains under investigation, and police said further details would be released when possible.
