About 40 puppies, kittens, adult cats and dogs will be up for adoption in Dover this weekend as part of what is being called "the world's largest mobile adoption event."

Brandywine Valley SPCA is teaming up with the North Shore Animal League to bring some of its shelter animals to the Petco in Dover. A special adoption event will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the North Dupont Highway store.

It is part of North Shore's "Tour For Life."

From the beginning of March to the end of April, the animal league is traveling through the U.S in four "shelter on wheels" helping shelter and rescue groups in 51 cities and towns in 38 states generate more awareness of their organizations and find homes for the animals in their care.

This "shelter on wheels" will be at the Dover Petco on Saturday.
