Two injured in Friday night shooting in Dover

Two men were injured in a shooting in Dover Friday night, police said.

Dover police said they responded to a report of shots fired at about 8:15 p.m. on the 400 block of Barrister Place. 

The two men who were shot showed up at the hospital in different cars, said Master Cpl. Mark Hoffman of the Dover Police Department. 

A 24-year-old man was shot in the right hand, and a 28-year-old man had gunshot wounds in his neck and leg.

Dover police said neither person's injuries were life-threatening. Several cars and at least one home were also hit by gunfire.

There was another shooting Friday night in Wilmington, in which a 24-year-old man was killed.
