Car abandoned with window shot out in Dover shooting
Police found a car abandoned with a bullet hole in the door and window shot out Friday evening in Dover.
Officers responded to reported gunfire in the 100 block of Willis Road at 8:50 p.m., Master Cpl. Mark Hoffman of Dover police said.
There was a white car on the sidewalk with the front passenger-side window broken and a bullet hole in the passenger-side door.
The driver ran away and left the car, Hoffman said. Police searched for the driver at local hospitals and medical centers for any potential victims, but did not find one.
Dover police consider any gunfire striking a person or object a shooting.
The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information can contact the Dover Police Department at (302)736-7111.
