A 58-year-old Wilmington man was sentenced Tuesday to 90 months in prison for knowingly selling heroin with an "extra risk" that lead to a woman's death.

James Goodwyn, also known as "Wali Bey," and another person sold heroin to a young woman, who overdosed and died in November 2016, said spokeswoman Kimberlynn Reeves of the U.S. Attorney's Office. Her body was taken by wheelbarrow and car to Edgemoor, where it was dumped.

Police found the body and traced the heroin back to Goodwyn, Reeves said. The defendant told at least one customer that anyone using his batch of heroin needed to "ease into it." He intended to sell the same lethal heroin, Reeves said.

Goodwyn pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute heroin and got seven and a half years in prison.
