A man was charged for drug possession in Wilmington last week when officers found him with 52 bags of crack and more than an ounce of marijuana, city police said.

Officers got a call about a drug transaction taking place on North Jefferson Street on April 10 and stopped two men, one of whom police said was in possession of the drugs.

The other man was charged for loitering and arrested on an active warrant.

Wilmington police charged 56-year-old Michael Nobles with two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute and loitering. He was released on $10,050 unsecured bail.
