22-year-old arrested after homes, cars struck by gunfire in Dover overnight

One man was responsible for gunshots on both sides of Dover Park overnight, according to city police, some of which struck cars and homes.

Dover police charged 22-year-old Jaquell McDonald for firing at homes and cars in the 100 block of Willis Road around 10 p.m. Wednesday and for shots fired on Stevenson Drive around midnight Wednesday. He was found with a gun and keys to a suspect truck.

Dover police said a witness gave officers cellphone photos of a truck and a sedan that fled from Willis Road after the gunfire. Officers found McDonald fleeing from Stevenson road after gunfire there and arrested him, according to Dover police. 

He was charged with possession of a firearm while committing a felony, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, six counts of reckless endangering and five counts of criminal mischief. McDonald was jailed in default of $75,500 cash bond.
