A Dover man has been arrested after a 90-minute standoff with police, in which he fired multiple shots, according to Delaware State Police.

Police responded to a home in the 2000 block of Generals Way around 10:10 a.m. A man, later identified as 49-year-old Glenn Klebart, was inside armed and threatening suicide, police said.

Police said they set up a perimeter around the house. Klebart fire multiple rounds from inside the residence, striking an unoccupied parked vehicle, police said.

Police said the shots were fired at the vehicle and not at a person.

Police were able to convince Klebart to surrender at about 11:40 a.m., at which time he was taken into custody. Klebart was transported to a hospital.

Police are reporting no injuries.

Charges against Klebart are forthcoming.
