One person dies in Dover shooting Monday night; police arrest two teenagers

A 31-year-old man died after being shot Monday night in Dover, according to Dover Police.

Police responded to the 300 block of Kesselring Avenue around 7 p.m. for a report of shots fired and found what they identified as a dead male inside a vehicle. Police later identified the victim as Mykal Dempster from the Dover area.

Police said a home was also hit by gunfire. 

Several neighbors provided descriptions, images and information about two suspects, leading police to establish a secure perimeter in the area with support of the Delaware State Police Aviation Unit, police said. 

Dover Police arrested 18-year-old Raiquan Fisher after finding a male gunshot victim dead in a vehicle in the 300 block of Kesslering Avenue Monday night.

Dover Police arrested two suspects by 8:05 p.m., 18-year-old Raiquan Fisher and a 15-year-old. Police said Fisher and Charles each had a handgun. 

The two received multiple murder and gun charges, including first-degree murder and first-degree conspiracy. Fisher was committed to SCI on $180,100 cash bond and Charles was committed to a juvenile detention center on $170,100 cash bond.
