Samantha Freeland, Delaware Military Academy softball: Senior shortstop went 4-for-4 with three runs scored and an RBI in a 7-3 victory over previously unbeaten Caravel last Thursday.

Elijah Wilson, Middletown boys track: Senior cleared 6 feet, 8 inches – tied for the No. 8 jump in state history – to win the high jump by 6 inches at the Art Madric Hall of Fame Invitational last Saturday at Caravel.

Hannah Lydic, Sussex Academy golf: Freshman shot a 34 for nine holes at Bear Trap Dunes Golf Club as the Seahawks defeated Sussex Central 159-208 last Tuesday.

Matt Taormina, Wilmington Friends baseball: Senior had three hits and two RBIs in a 13-7 win over Glasgow last Tuesday, then added three RBIs in a 7-0 victory over Tower Hill last Thursday.

Nancy Tucker, St. Andrew’s girls lacrosse: Senior combined for 15 goals and six assists as the Saints downed Saints Peter & Paul (Md.) last Tuesday and Charter of Wilmington last Thursday.
