Fruit is great and all, but sometimes you're jonesing something a little sweeter. It's easy to reach for some candy to satisfy that craving, but sometimes there's an even better happy medium. You've heard of cotton candy grapes, but now Trader Joe's sells "gummy berries," which are grapes that taste like gummy bears.

Cotton candy grapes have been around for years now, but last year there was such hype around them probably because they were hitting mainstream grocery stores. They're green grapes that are sweeter than usual and they truly do taste like the carnival dessert they're named after. Now, gummy berries might be here to take the crown.

Gummy berries are red grapes that are extra sweet too, and the packaging and name suggests they taste similar to gummy bears. Grapes are such an easy snack for the summer and a trip to the beach, and they can be popped into the freezer for an even more refreshing snack experience. When you want something sweet, reaching for this fruit is way easier than keeping up with a melty dessert like popsicles or ice cream.

Packs of gummy berries were spotted by @thesnacksoflife at their local Trader Joe's, so it's likely these can be found at most locations in the fruit aisle. Although the pricing isn't clear, cotton candy grapes don't stray far from the price range of normal grapes, so the same is probably true for these.

Some people in the comments that had tried gummy berries before weren't quite sure if they tasted exactly like gummy bears, but they did say the fruit was definitely sweeter-tasting than other grapes, so maybe you should still pick up some sweet candy during your next TJ's trip. Just in case!
