Live From Albany: Weigh in on Amazon's decision to drop NYC HQ

ALBANY — Amazon stunned New York officials Thursday when the company announced it was scrapping plans to build a campus in the Long Island City section of Queens, a project that had promised a minimum of 25,000 jobs.

The online retailer and cloud-computing giant issued a statement blaming its decision on local opposition to the project, which New York state and city had offered up to $3 billion in grants and tax breaks to lure.
