ABOUT 50 students from across Conwy, Denbighshire, Gwynedd and Anglesey have been honoured at an awards ceremony.
The event, which was held at the Optic Centre in St Asaph, welcomed of Grŵp Llandrillo Menai’s work-based, Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) students for a presentation of their apprenticeship framework certificates from Gary Doherty, chief executive officer of Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board.
The ceremony was a celebration of the achievement of the ILM students - who are all employed by the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board or the Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust as managers or team leaders - who have successfully juggled the demands of work and study to achieve their ILM and NVQ qualifications.
Mr Doherty said: “I really admire those here today who have successfully completed their qualifications whilst juggling work and home commitments, as this is an extremely difficult balancing act. You should be extremely proud of yourselves.
“Staff with leadership and management skills are essential in improving services to clients in both the short and long term.”
