A pedestrian hit in a three-vehicle crash Friday night in downtown Denver has died, Denver police said Saturday morning in a tweet.
The accident occurred one block off the 16th Street Mall, and the driver of one of the vehicles fled the scene, police said.
The pedestrian was taken to the Denver Health Medical Center with serious injuries following the crash.
Police spokesman Kent Barnes said Saturday morning that there have been no arrests made and the driver has not yet been located.
Police issued a Medina Alert Friday night as authorities searched for a maroon Toyota pickup truck, one of the vehicles involved in the crash. The alert was lifted Saturday morning when police located the vehicle, police said in a tweet.
The coroner’s office will release the name of pedestrian, police said.
Update Release: The pedestrian died as a result of their injuries, The coroners office will release the identification of this person. The Medina Alert remains active at this time.
