Denver area meteorologists appeared gleeful Tuesday when they proclaimed, “Bring on the sun!” with total confidence.
“Will be much warmer today with just a slight chance of showers in the high country,” the National Weather Service in Boulder forecast on Tuesday morning.
The high temperature will be around 65 degrees. The low temperature will be around 42 degrees, the NWS says.

Wednesday will be even warmer, with a high of 72 degrees. There is a 10 percent chance of evening showers and thunderstorms though, the NWS says.
Afternoon thunderstorms and showers are possible Thursday after 3 p.m., the weather service says. The high temperature will be around 69 degrees. Likewise, on Friday, there will be a 10 percent chance of afternoon thunder and rain.
But temperatures will still rise to a high of about 77 degrees, the NWS says.
The weekend will be very pleasant with mostly sunny skies in the mid-to-upper 70s.
Another chance of showers and thunderstorms will come on Monday when the high temperature will be around 64 degrees.
