If you’re not stuck in a Denver office all day on Wednesday, you may want to spend a “pleasant” day outdoors.

Wednesday’s forecast calls for highs in the lower to mid-70s with a little warmer temperatures on Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service. Some rain showers are expected over the mountains and Foothills.

The high on Wednesday is expected to be around 75 degrees, with 5 to 9 mph winds during the day, according to the weather service. The evening brings a slight chance of thunderstorms and showers, forecasters predict, with continued light winds.

The forecast on Thursday calls for a 20 percent chance of rain after noon, but temperatures are expected to get warmer, with a high near 85 degrees. The evening is expected to bring an added chance or rain and will be mostly cloudy, weather service forecasters predict.

Denver’s weekend weather will likely bring more rainfall with highs in the 70s and lows in the 50s, according to the weather service.

This week’s hazardous weather outlook calls for afternoon showers and thunderstorms on Wednesday with some hail and lightning over the central Colorado mountains and in the foothills, particularly over Jefferson and northern Park counties, the weather service said. Continued rainfall is expected Thursday through early next week in mountains and northern plains.

“Temperatures will be slightly above seasonal normals on Thursday, then a tad below normals Friday through Tuesday,” the outlook stated.
